Eva Salt Factory

After starting up the factory in July, and ironing out a few inevitable hiccups, production is in full swing.

Producing about 3.5 tonnes per hour and operating two shifts daily, current capacity is at around 1,500 tonnes per month. For a product of such purity, larger distributors are scrambling to get their orders in.


Sieve Snag

Sieve New Bolts

Due to the intense workload and constant “hopping” of the industrial-size sieve, some of the nuts had to be replaced with high tension nuts and bolts. This is about the third in a series of snags as is to be expected when starting a facility like this for the first time.

The highly skilled crew of this plant had the stoppage limited to less than a day!

Salt drying plant

Ready for operations, the newly constructed Eva Salt Factory in Walvis Bay has the last of its machinery installed and tuned to start production.

Raw coarse salt is received from Walvis Bay Salt Refiners, with the value adding processes of this facility available to dry, crush and package the salt according to client specifications.
